Half Moon Peridot Earrings
Gosh, I truly loved making these earrings. Sterling silver, heavily reticulated (that’s that amazing texture you see on the backplates). Bright and shiny 6mm peridots glisten and make a lovely focal point.
Reticulation is when you repeatedly heat, clean and wire brush a metal that’s an alloy, such as sterling silver which is a mix of silver and copper. The metals heat and cool at different rates, so they crinkle into a unique texture after you hit it with this technique many times. It take time but is so much fun.
Lightly oxidised to enhance the organic nature of the design.

Pendant is 26mm wide, 30mm long.
Earring full length is 46mm.
